The Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA), the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Global Environment Facility’s Caribbean Regional Fund for Wastewater Management (GEF-CReW) are collaborating to host the 10^th Annual High Level Session (HLS) Ministerial Forum in The Bahamas on October 9^th and 10^th, 2014.

The Senegal Country Water Partnership held its first steering committee meeting on Fevruary 27, 2016 to discuss the financial situation of the CWP and the contribution of its partners, the contribution of the CWP to the 2016 World Water Day in the country, how to finalise the accreditation process as a partner of GWP and the development of the action plan and budget for 2017-2019.

On January 14, 2016,  Mr. Chen Lei, Minister, Ministry of Water Resources(MWR), accompanied by Mr Jiao Yong and Mr Zhou Xuewen , the Vice Ministers , director generals and related leaders of the MWR visited GWP China’s Host Institute in Beijing.

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched its new Youth Engagement Strategy at Stockholm World Water Week on August 25^th, 2015. The youth strategy supports the wider GWP “Towards 2020” Strategy as does the GWP Gender Strategy, which was launched in August 2014. 

GWP took an active role in the Habitat III Conference, taking place in Quito, Ecuador, on 17-20 October 2016. Habitat III is the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development. It focused on the implementation of a New Urban Agenda, building on the Habitat Agenda of Istanbul in 1996. This was the first United Nations global summit after the adoption of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.

GWP partners with 2,800+ registered organisations that share its aims and values in tackling the sustainable development, management, and use of water resources.

The CWP Mali made a guided visit to Gouendo on 16 and 17 November. The visit made it possible to interact with the beneficiaries to obtain their feedback on the pilot project, to know the peasants' perception of the project and to suggest areas for improvement.

The young parliamentarians acting through the National Youth Parliament for Water and Sanitation (PNJEA) of Benin, have organized on Thursday, October 29, 2015, in Cotonou an official ceremony to present the White Booklet to the Beninese authorities. The PNJEA also seized the opportunity to distinguish its godfathers and godmothers including the Minister of Water.
