On 20 May, the President of the UN General Assembly, with the support of the Executive Secretary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), will convene a High-level Dialogue to assess the progress made in the fight against drought, desertification and land degradation (DLDD). The event takes place at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA.

In accordance with the Head of State’s instructions during his September 12th, 2012 visit to the flood victims in the North and Far North regions of Cameroon to "strengthen metrological information at all levels and on a regular basis" and as part of the Water, Climate, Environment - Gender (WACDEP-G) program, GWP-Cameroon supported the National Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport (MINT) in improving the mechanisms for collecting and disseminating agrometeorological information during a workshop held in Yaoundé on November 27th, 2020 .

A new online course on Gender and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) opens on 15 October. It is available on the Cap-Net virtual campus and has been developed in partnership with GWP and Gender and Water Alliance (GWA). GWP and Wuhan International Water Law Academy are co-organisers of a 6-part series called the "Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance Train." The second session took place on 16 February on “Ecosystems, International Law, and Transboundary Water Cooperation”. The event gathered over 100 participants, led by a panel of international experts who agreed that ecosystems protection has been gaining increased political acceptance and technical understanding in recent years.
