It is an interesting subject, with an interesting expert community – and it is also the subject of interest to various players. My female ancestors lived under very hard pressure, but they were leaders, and they passed this gen on to me”, says Guljamal Nurmuhamedova, Regional Coordinator for GWP Central Asia and Caucasus (CACENA). The annual Global Water Partnership’s Regional Meetings held in Amman, Jordan on 13-16 May 2019, with the participation of GWP regions, including the GWP West Africa represented by the Chair, the Executive Secretary, the Project Manager and the Communication and knowledge Manager.
A mission was organized to assess the capacities and needs of national structures for flood and drought forecasting and warning in order to develop integrated, tailored, sustainable and basin-wide solutions to enhance resilience to climate change at local, national and regional levels.
