As Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, and other countries in Southern Africa take stock of the ravaging effects of Cyclone Ana, the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa and Africa Coordination (GWPSA-Africa) has called for increased financing and better commitment to climate resilience by national governments and development partners.
GWP is coordinating the formulation of a Water Resources Strategy and Action Plan for the Nacaome, Choluteca and Sampile river basins in the Gulf of Fonseca region in Honduras. The Strategy was validated in a series of workshops in December and January and is expected to be finalized during the month of March 2021.
The International Water Association (IWA) is organising the first IWA Digital Water Summit - the original dates were set to 27-30 April in Bilbao, Spain, however due to the worldwide Corinavirus crisis new dates have been announced: 30 November - 3 December.
