The Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Communications Officer for its Athens based Secretariat. The successful candidate will be hired by MIO-ECSDE, a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.
Today is International Women’s Day and, with the rest of the world, GWP is celebrating the tremendous efforts by women and girls in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reducing the emission of greenhouse gases by 35% and reinforcing climate adaptation is a part of Cameroon’s main 2035 emergence agenda. The country’s National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (NAP) which was adopted in 2015 is pivotal to the achievement of this objective and after the first five years of its implementation, an end-of-phase evaluation was carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development (MINEPDED) in collaboration with GWP-Cameroon.
The first Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance event for 2022 kicked off on 16 February and included 150 participants from around the world. They explored how the design of Transboundary Water Agreements may affect their performance, and the ‘key ingredients’ that should be considered when creating such agreements.
The TFTC Project in Burkina Faso is relocating the site of its pilot action from Koankin (Sapone) to Ramitenga (Loumbila). A visit to the new site was carried out on 10 September 2019 by GWP-WA, the CWP Burkina and service providers to review the site in order to consider appropriate solutions. Exchanges were held with the beneficiaries on the various resources and training necessary for the successful implementation of the project through the establishment of a Farmer Field School.

The first webinar is on 11 June, on the topic "Accelerating Inclusive FLI and Reaching Scale: Key Considerations".
Water Knowledge Europe is the specialized brokerage event of Water Europe (WE) that allows participants to network, exchange knowledge and experiences, and to collaborate with key actors from across the water value chain. A digital summer edition of the event takes place on 15 July.
GWP South Asia celebrated the World Water Day 2021, by organising a regional webinar on “Sharing Country Level Experience and Lessons on Valuing Water” on 22 March 2021 from 14.00-16.00 hours (New Delhi time).
