GWP is evaluating the role of knowledge within its Technical Committee (TEC). Selected forward thinkers and headquarter staff gathered for a 2-day collaborative workshop in Athens, Greece, on 4-5 September, to explore how GWP can access and apply the knowledge of the network. The big question was: How can we increase impact as well as stakeholder and user benefit? Ahead of the workshop, TEC Chair Jerome Delli Priscoli shared his thoughts on where TEC is going.

On December 21, 2016, the Water and Energy Sustainable Development Forum was held in Beijing. One of GWP China’s close partners, China Water & Power Press, organized the event. GWP China has helped it for designing, organizing and implementing the event, thus, was invited to be joint organizer.

Bangladesh hosted the fourth regional consultation on Valuing Water held on 31 July 2017 at the BRAC Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sixty-three water professionals from Bangladesh, development partners representing World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), United Nations, Water Resources Group 2030 (WRG 2030), Embassies and other organisations have actively participated the discussion.

Situated in Eastern Europe, Estonia is bordering the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland, between Latvia and Russia. Offshore, there are more than 1,500 islands belonging to Estonia. CWP Benin officially handed over the Bachelor and Master level Water Integrity and sanitation Units to the Director of the National Institute of Water (INE) in the presence of the first Vice-Rector of the University of Abomey-Calavi.

The Summer School „Towards 2030 Agenda: A summer school for climate change, innovation and youth advocacy in water management“ will take place on 1- 6 July 2018 at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.
