On May 23-25, 2017, the fourth south-south interregional water cooperation gathered GWP China, Central Asia and Caucasus, South Asia and South East Asia, four Regional Water Partnerships, in Pokhara, Nepal.
A new Operational Drought and Water Scarcity Monitoring System was created in Hungary to assist communities and farmers in making timely interventions.
It was during the 8th Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) River Basin Organisations (RBOs) workshop that took place from 8-9th May, 2018 in Windhoek, Namibia that participants recommended that SADC RBOs should play a more active role in facilitating investment for water, energy and food security in the region.
GWP is coordinating the work behind a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on the topic of “Governance for Transboundary Freshwater Security.” The MOOC, which is currently under development with Partners, is set to launch in 2020. While it is primarily targeted at practitioners and stakeholders, it is also open for all who are interested in these issues. You can already now sign up for the course.
From 12-14 June 2019, GWPEA Regional Coordinator was invited and supported by SDG Center Africa to participate and contribute to the Conference on “SDGs implementation in Africa – reflections on a three-year journey” in Kigali, Rwanda.
The guided tour took place on Thursday, November 02, 2017 on the demonstration site of the “Multifunctional agro-forestry park” in Komki Ipala. The aim was to make the IDM platform core group discover the system of defense and allow the group to observe results obtained (performance, efficiency, etc.) using this system.
