This paper raises important questions concerning access to piped water services, especially for the poor. As such, it could have ramifications for how communities and countries reach the water supply objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 6 and the 2030 Agenda. The water awards is the last initiative of the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Burkina Faso. The aim of the Water and Sanitation Awards is to enable the identification of relevant actions in the water and sanitation sector, in order to acknowledge and honor the efforts of individuals and legal entities which are either at the base or contributed to the achievement of these actions. The ambition is to give visibility and promote water and sanitation as central to sustainable development in the country.
The fourth capacity building workshop was held from July 28 to 29, 2015 in Ouagadougou. This workshop aimed to strengthen the capacity of planners and policy makers who are beneficiaries of the program to ensure the monitoring of progress and lessons learned from the implementation of the Strategic Framework for water security and resilient development to change climate produced by AMCOW.
