The Water, Energy, Food (WEF) Nexus is an important vehicle for advancing the socio-economic agenda in Zambia and attaining the national vision 2030, says Zambia permanent Secretary for Water officiating the Water, Energy and Food Nexus National Dialogue for Zambia. The dialogue was held on 14th December 2021 in Lusaka, Zambia to identify national WEF nexus priorities and highlight the benefits of how improved sectoral coordination can accelerate national investment opportunities.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) is delighted to welcome Ms. Persis Ramírez Ramos to its team, as Programme Officer under the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Partnership in the Dominican Republic (DR).

Dr. Atie Tri Juniati MT is a Senior Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Study Programme of the Faculty of Engineering at the Pancasila University in Jakarta, Indonesia. She has been involved in many GWP Southeast Asia activities over the years, and she is also a current member of the regional Steering Committee. In this interview, she describes Pancasila University and its partnership with GWP, which began in 2006.

(09/2022/ MED-PPG) The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Senior Programme Officer. The successful candidate will be hired by the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.

The Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) Regional Council announced the appointment of Dr Nilufa Islam as the GWP SAS Chairperson in effective of 16 July 2020.

Five communes (Avrankou, Bopa, Ifangni, Ouinhi and Pobè) in Benin were supported for good governance principles in their municipalities through an exercise to promote integrity practices in the water and sanitation sector. This exercise was supported by the development and implementation of an integrity action plan for the said sectors.

It is often said that one of the only times you should look back, is to see how far you’ve come. This is quite fitting as Ms. Simone Lewis, Regional Coordinator of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), celebrates her second anniversary with the organisation.
