World Toilet Day, celebrated on 19 November, is about taking action to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030. This is part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: sanitation and water. The 2018 theme of the day is "When Nature Calls". On the occasion of the day, GWP will do a Facebook Live interview with Kanika Thakar, Founder of #ToiletTalk.
From Monday 13 to Saturday 17 May 2019, a delegation from the Water Integrity Network (WIN) visited Benin as part of an exchange mission with the CWP and its partners involved in the fight for integrity in the water and sanitation sector.

The regional organisation Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) and the Energy and Water Agency (EWA) of Malta are organizing the Capacity Building Workshop ‘Non-Conventional Water Resources Management: Local Solutions’, that will take place on 13 and 14 November 2019 and will be hosted by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST).
GWP is collaborating with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat and other partners to create a vision and plausible water solutions of a desirable climate-resilient future in 2030 and beyond. The new initiative is called "Water Resilience Frontiers: Pathways for transformational Climate Resilient Water Security in 2030 and Beyond". The initiative is part of the UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme’s Resilience Frontiers. The UNFCCC is convening a Resilience Lab for the duration of COP25. The 2017 meeting of the Regional Advisory Committee of the Global Coordination Mechanism of the Mekrou Project held on 15 and 16 June 2017 in Niamey, Niger. The meeting aimed at validating the choice of a preferential scenario for the draft Strategic Framework for Water Security (SFWS) in the Mékrou basin. The Advisory Committee is expected to choose a preferential scenario to enable the consultant to develop it in detail by incorporating the needs for modifications of the action plans for adaptation to extreme events at the basin level as well as at the country level, the procedures for their management and the mapping of the actors concerned.
Global Water Partnership South Asia's (GWP SAS's) activities are carried out with the aim of increasing regional cooporation towards IWRM implementation in the region.
Several partners among which the Ministry of Environment, Water and Climate of Zimbabwe and the Municipality of Marondera have come together to help Zimbabwe develop an Integrated Water and Wastewater Master Plan that will, in part, present detailed prioritized investments for the municipality of Marondera, financed by the African Water Facility. This project will also build the capacity of the key sector players, which will in the long term foster an integrated approach in managing the water and sanitation facilities in the country.
