In the night of Wednesday 16 to Thursday 17 May, a drama occurred in Lake Toho in Kpinou, in the commune of Athiémé /Departement of Mono, South-West Benin. Lifeless fish floated to the surface of the lake. The authorities of the sectoral ministries, in turn, went down to the site to observe the damage. Thousands of dead fish lay on the ground of a fish farm developer in Kpinnou.

Alioune Bagou DIARRA has been recruited as the new Executive Secretary for the Country Water Partnership of Mali from June 1ST 2018. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Water and Environment from 2IE, an advanced degree in Applied Chemistry.
The national water week of Niger was held in Dosso from 21 to 23 May 2018. The event was marked by the keynote speech by the Minister of Hydraulics and Sanitation
