GWP-SEA Participated in the GWP 2022 Regional Days

The 2022 Regional Days was the 1st since COVID-19 pandemic that held in a hybrid format. For the two and half days, the participants of all the Regional Chairs, Regional Coordinators, Regional Communications Officers, Regional programme managers and GWP Global Secretariat staff discuss the important matter to support the implementation of the GWP Global Strategy.

After 2 years conducted the Regional Days in an online format due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2022 Regional Days felt special because it was held in a hybrid format where most of the GWP’s global and regional staff met in Stockholm -Sweden on the 23-25 May, whilst the communication officer started the meeting 1 day earlier, focus on inter-regional sharing session as part of the annual communications officer’s meeting. The other things that make it special because it was the last for the present GWP Chairman Mr Howard Bamsey, and the first for the newly assigned Global Water Partnership Technical Committee (GWP TEC) Chairwoman, Ms Jaehyang So (Jae) that recently joined the 1st of April 2022.

For the two and half days, the participants of all the Regional Chairs, Regional Coordinators, Regional Communications Officers, Regional programme managers and GWP Global Secretariat staff discussed the reflection of the first semester of the 2022 global strategy to converge on the 2023-2025 work programmes. Among other topic discussed during the event was: GWP’s policy on gender and social inclusion; the regional task force on CWP strengthening & RWP sustainability; knowledge & Learning; as well as a poster session that highlighted the achievement of the regional flagship program or activity. During the afternoon of the 25th of May, the participants joined the 2022 Network Meeting.
