Two experts from the Irrigation Center of YRIHR, Dr. Yu Xing and Mr. Wang Aibin, were invited to deliver lectures on water conservation, irrigation techniques, and intelligent irrigation. Dr. Yu Xing detailed the characteristics and applicable scenarios of various irrigation methods, such as canal seepage control, sprinkler irrigation, and drip irrigation, aiding farmers in selecting the most suitable irrigation method for different conditions. Mr. Wang Aibin highlighted the challenges faced by traditional irrigation methods and introduced how intelligent irrigation achieves precise water use and efficient production, demonstrating the advancements brought by modern agricultural technology. The experts shared their work experiences using vivid language, with nearly a hundred farmers listening attentively and engaging in active discussions, creating a lively atmosphere. Meanwhile, staff distributed Yellow River brochures and water conservation and irrigation brochures to the farmers.
The Lecture on Water Conservation and Intelligent Irrigation
Accompanied by Mr. Ma Yage, the Division Director of Agriculture Irrigation in East Stone Bridge Village, the staff visited the Village History Hall to learn about its development process, family precepts, and special industries, strengthening their belief and responsibility in "writing the paper on the motherland."
The event disseminated knowledge on water conservation and intelligent irrigation to farmers, providing researchers with an opportunity to delve into the fields and understand the village's actual needs. This initiative aims to comprehensively promote rural vitalization and contribute to the Yellow River Ecological Conservation and High-quality Development. In the future, GWP China Yellow River will continue to explore various scientific popularization methods, reaching out to classrooms, fields, and communities, dedicated to presenting a splendid "scientific knowledge feast" to the public.
